Connolly Station opened May 19, 2005, named after a train station in Dublin, and proximity to the Belmar Train Station. This combined two restaurants, Pat's Tavern and Patrick's Pub with one menu and theme. They feature a large menu with a wide variety such as; mouth watering steaks, fresh seafood, large salads, wraps, sandwiches, & Irish specialties like fresh corned beef & shephard's pie. The Boathouse Bar and Grill has been in operation since 1998 and is owned by Tim and Matt Harmon. The original Boathouse was located at 1401 Highway 71 in Belmar and moved to its current location at 1309 Main Street in Belmar, in November 2000. There have been several restaurants in this location prior to the Boathouse, including "Jerry O's", "The Rescue" and the "Wooden Nickel".

In 1964 Marguerite and Dominic started serving pizza and sandwiches from a small corner in the back of a bar called the Squan Tavern. Dominic was a meat cutter in a supermarket in Long Branch during the day and used to drive down to Manasquan at night to work at the Squan Tavern serving the foods that he was raised on.
